Is it possible to use a comma before "while"?

It is possible to use a comma before while in the middle of a sentence when you mean “whereas” or “although.”

Correct I prefer mango juice, while my sister prefers lemon juice.

Incorrect I prefer mango juice, while my sister prefers lemon juice.
